About me
Hello, I'm Jennie.
I provide independent, high-quality private home care services for the elderly in the Hungerford, Kintbury and Lambourn area. I specialise in supporting my clients to maintain a higher quality of life at home.
My approach is to offer a flexible, first-rate service based on my clients' individual, and often changing, needs. These can range from regular help with bathing, weekly shopping trips and assistance with medication to ad-hoc cover for family or full-time carers.
Fully qualified with Level 3 HND in Care, I worked in nursing for over 15 years at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. I then chose to specialise in respite care for young disabled people and eldely, before moving to the Lambourn area and taking time out to raise my family.
Caring is a vocation that I truly love. As an independent carer, I am able to work with a small number of private clients to provide a friendly, flexible and un-rushed service. I'm free to work under my own, professional carer's, initiative and can always find time to listen.
My promise
People often ask me why they should use a private carer rather than a domiciliary care agency?
For many clients, continuity of care is their most important wish. As a private carer, you know that it will always be me who visits, and I will be arriving when agreed.
With none of the overheads of an agency, private care is usually more cost effective too.
There are times when a private carer might not be the most appropriate option - for example, if two carers are needed for multiple daily visits, 7 days per week - and I will never take on a new client if they would be better served by a care agency.
